Home and Away actress Courtney Miller shares her body image struggles 

Home and Away actress Courtney Miller has spoken about her past body image struggles.

The 23-year-old starlet, who plays Bella Nixon on the soap, revealed to The Saturday Telegraph her first memory of body image happened when she was only 10-years-old.

‘I just remember thinking I was big compared to some of my friends,’ she said.

The brunette added that that from there she continued to compare herself to others.

‘It is scary how bad it can get and the lesson I have learnt is that the way we look does not define who are and shouldn’t determine our happiness,’ she noted.

Courtney also spoke about the pressures to staying slim because of being of TV. 

‘I never eat cake. I don’t eat lollies… and being on TV does hone that in a bit more.’ 

The brunette beauty insists she maintains a ‘very healthy’ lifestyle. 

This comes as Courtney fronts a social media campaign called Love Your Shape.

The initiative, which can be seen on Instagram, aims to unite women of all shapes and sizes and to share stories of self love and empowerment.

Last year, Courtney revealed that she volunteers as a Lifeline counsellor each week, helping people in emotional distress.

The qualified psychologist, who graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology in 2018, told The Daily Telegraph last year: ‘I become a different person, I really do. It’s almost like acting. I become “Professional Courtney” on the phones.’

Courtney joined the Home and Away cast in 2018 as Bella Nixon.
