Russell Brand, 44, has shared his feelings on heartbreak with fans in a lengthy Instagram video posted on Thursday.
The emotive speech comes after his ex-wife Katy Perry, 35, announced she was pregnant with her first child on Wednesday with her new music video Never Worn White.
The Forgetting Sarah Marshall star, who has been happily married to second wife Laura Gallacher since 2017, shared his impassioned speech alongside the caption: ‘Healing From A Broken Heart. Has your heart ever been broken?’

He began by asking his fans if they had ever suffered from a broken heart before reflecting on his own past love life.
He candidly admitted: ‘I’ve experienced heartbreak for most of my life.’
The comedian, who is currently on tour in Australia, looked back at the many flings he has had over the years, admitting that although he was ‘promiscuous’ he had ‘fallen in love with a lot of people’.
He spoke of his past intense feelings as a ‘silent obsession’ and how he invests in his romances.

Russell then compared the feelings of lost love as ‘a kind of death.’
Russell was previously married to Katy Perry following a whirlwind romance that began in 2009.
The pair shortly began dating after meeting at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards, when the songbird threw a water bottle at his head from across the room during a dress rehearsal.
That same year, Katy and Russell became engaged on New Year’s Eve in India. They married in October 2010 in a Hindu ceremony in Rajasthan.
On December 30, 2011, Russell filed for divorce citing irreconcilable differences, they were officially divorced in 2012.
He allegedly let the pop-queen know he was doing so in a text, and she has not spoken to him since.

That same month, Katy tearfully talked about her divorce from Russell in her autobiographical documentary Katy Perry: Part of Me.
She revealed that conflicting career schedules and not feeling ready to have children with him, led to the demise of their marriage.
Two days after their divorce was finalised, Russell told Howard Stern that he was extremely in love with Katy, but realised after marrying her that their love was not meant to be.

‘We did work it out, she’s happy, I’m happy. I was really, really in love with her, but it was difficult to see each other, it mostly didn’t work for practical reasons,’ he said at the time.

On Friday, Russell made a pit-stop at his favourite hit Australian soap, Neighbours.
Whilst cruising by the studio in Nunawading, the actor reportedly could not turn down the chance to make a cameo and decided to film a scene.
It is not yet clear if he shall be playing himself or a character in the cameo.
Actress April Rose Pengilly (Chloe Brennan) took to Instagram to share her excitement.
Alongside a sweet snap of herself standing arm in arm with the star, the Aussie beauty wrote that she was a huge fan of Russell’s work.
She said: ‘A hefty ”thank you” to @russellbrand for coming and shooting a scene for the show today!
‘I’m a big fan of his work, so was just a lil’ bit excited.’
