‘She really wanted to find love’: Jessika Power says Melissa Lucarelli should’ve been asked back to Married At First Sight instead of Elizabeth Sobinoff
Elizabeth Sobinoff returned to Married At First Sight this year for a second chance at love after her disastrous marriage to Sam Ball ended prematurely last season.
And while the fan favourite’s comeback has been applauded by many viewers, former MAFS star Jessika Power believes that Channel Nine picked the wrong bride to return.
‘I think if it was anyone, Melissa [Lucarelli] should’ve gotten a second chance,’ Jessika told New Idea.

‘I like Mel really got stitched up and she really wanted to find love,’ the 28-year-old added, before claiming that Elizabeth may only be using the show for fame.
‘Are you going back for Instagram or are you going back for love?’ she said of Elizabeth.
In a recent blog post for The Latch, Melissa said that she was ‘totally mismatched’ with partner Dino Hira by the show’s relationship experts.

‘Dino and I literally had in common,’ she wrote, candidly.
‘Everything from our personalities to our belief systems; our values and our interests, and even the way we communicate,’ she continued.
‘While I had no idea what to expect of the experience, one thing I hadn’t counted on was being totally mismatched.’

The brunette beauty finished by saying the experiment was challenging mentally, emotionally and physically.
During an interview with The Daily Telegraph in March last year, Mel accused the experts of pairing her with Dino purely for ‘entertainment.’
‘I did think ”we’ve been put in here as a joke”, for entertainment,’ she told the publication, referring to the experts matching her with the meditation coach.

‘They chose us to be the ones that were completely incompatible,’ she added.
Elizabeth was matched with footballer Seb Guilhaus on Married At First Sight this year.
Last year, she was one of the first participants to leave the experiment after her match, Sam Ball, cheated on her with Ines Basic.
