Ashley Graham celebrates first International Women’s Day as a mom with childbirth portrait

She became a mother for the very first time when she welcomed her son Isaac into the world in late January.

So, model Ashley Graham celebrated International Women’s Day on Sunday by sharing a candid portrait of herself in the painful, yet miraculous throws of childbirth.

‘This is the face of my greatest strength,’ captioned the 32-year-old. ‘The greatest pain I’ve ever known and the greatest accomplishment that I’ve ever achieved.’

First go around: Ashley Graham shared a candid post taken during the birth of her son Isaac, seven-week-old, on Instagram in celebration of Sunday’s International Women’s Day

She continued: ‘On this International Women’s Day understand that despite whatever pain or trial we have all experienced as women, we are also strong, powerful and capable of accomplishing greatness.’

In Graham’s powerful photograph, posted to her personal Instagram page, her mouth is agape with anguish as she attempts to deliver a powerful push.

Her brunette hair is visibly strewn about, with pieces cascading over her face.

A nurse of family member can be seen at her bedside employing their best efforts to comfort the tear stricken supermodel.

‘Happy International Women’s Day! Let’s all celebrate our, and each other’s strengths today,’ wished the former America’s Next Top Model host to her 10.6million followers.

International Women’s Day, held annually on March 8, serves to ‘celebrate women’s achievements throughout history and across nations.’

The pair’s destined meet-cute occurred in 2009, while volunteering at a New York City church.

Ashley and Justin announced Isaac’s arrival via Instagram Story, writing that ‘at 6 p.m. on [January 18]’ their lives had ‘changed for the better.’

Since her son’s arrival, Graham has fully immersed herself into ‘mom culture’ and has made it a personal mission to end the pervasive stigma surrounding breast feeding.

The Sports Illustrated covergirl uses her social media platform to share snapshots of her day-to-day mommy duties, from pumping milk in the back of an Uber car to waking up in the wee hours of the morning to feed her newborn son.

Most recently, Ashley got into some hot water, when she openly changed her seven-week-old’s diaper in the aisle of a Staples store.

‘Diaper blow up while running errands with no restroom in sight,’ captioned Graham who documented the ordeal on Instagram.

Talk show host and gossip hound Wendy Williams spoke out in opposition of Ashley’s actions during her Hot Topics segment on March 5.

‘She’s being mommy-shamed by me because I don’t like what she did, changing her seven-week son in the middle of the store,’ said an unapologetic Williams.

She added: ‘Personally speaking, I don’t wanna see this.’

Williams explained that, ‘Mothers are looking at it saying, “Well if she can do it, I can do it too.” No the hell you can’t.’

Though the 55-year-old chatty gal was not a fan, many famous mommies, including comedian Amy Schumer and actress Sara Foster, vocalized their support.
