David Beckham models new eyewear line in campaign shot by son Brooklyn


Aside from his iconic football career, he’s fronted a series of fashion, jewellery and sporting campaigns, and even founded his own whiskey brand in 2014.

And David Beckham proved there’s no rest for the wicked as he starred in a promotional clip for his new eyewear line – EYEWEAR by DAVID BECKHAM – shot by his son Brooklyn.

The former footballer, 44 – who previously collaborated with his eldest child, 21, on a project for his skincare brand House 99 – showcased his modelling prowess as he posed in a series of sleek frames from the collection.

Looking every inch the hunk, David went behind the wheel as he sported a selection of trendy pieces, which featured aviator-style sunglasses. 

The former Manchester United ace appeared to be following in the footsteps of his fashion designer wife Victoria, 45, as he switched into a pair of square-framed shades with a rounded bottom.

Alongside the clip shared onto their respective Instagram accounts , David penned: ‘So much fun filming @dbeyewear with @brooklynbeckham ♥️.’

A delighted Brooklyn added: ‘Had a great time filming my first campaign with my Dad. It has been amazing to be part of the @DBEyewear launch. ❤ #DBEyewear.’ [sic]

The Spring Summer 2020 collection for the media personality’s new brand will be available at selected retailers later this month. 

Brooklyn has had experience with having creative control behind massive projects, as he shot his first campaign with Burberry back in January 2016.

He was previously enrolled to study a four-year Photography course at the world-renowned Parsons School of Design, but bowed out in July 2018 after feeling homesick. Tuition fees at the prestigious school cost more than $23,000 per term. 

Meanwhile, over the weekend, David and his wife Victoria – who also share Romeo, 17, Cruz, 15, and Harper, eight, threw their eldest child an epic party to mark his 21st birthday. 

Ahead of the bash, a source told The Sun that the couple splashed out £100,000 on the soirée. They claimed: ‘A lot of thought and effort has gone into Brooklyn’s big day, and he is really excited.  

‘It’ll be wall to wall celebrities, and a lot more extravagant than the hiring out of the local town hall.’

On Wednesday evening, Brooklyn made sure he celebrated his birthday in style as he enjoyed dinner with chef Hisato following his lunch at Oswald’s private members club.

The eldest of the Beckham brood were joined by his mother Victoria, father David, girlfriend Nicola Peltz and siblings – Romeo, Cruz, 15, and Harper, eight.

They were treated to an eleven course meal cooked in front of them by the Wagyumafia team, which included the chef’s eye-watering £140 Wagyu steak sandwiches and a caviar covered sushi basket.

Wagyumafia have held several pop-up public events in London recently, with the latest taking place at Fortnum & Mason’s The Royal Exchange on Tuesday night.
