Yet the prank backfired for one family after their parents got a bit too carried away as they tried to embarrass their children at home by passionately kissing on TV in a bid to win free tickets to Orlando.

Explaining the challenge, Dec said: ‘We know your parents are always making you cringe with public displays of affection…’

With the children appearing via videolink at home, the presenter revealed that their parents were actually on the show instead of at a romantic dinner like they had said.

Ant then appeared with the couple, adding: ‘If you want to win a place on the plane all you need to do is allow your parents to kiss live on TV, if you allow that to happen, the magic word is “cringe”. Let me hear you…’

After an initial hesitation, the children said ‘cringe’ to which their parents started engaging in a very passionate make out session.

In fact things got so steamy, Ant was forced to tear them apart as he exclaimed: ‘That’s enough thank you, it’s a family show!’

But despite the embarrassing television moment, the family secured their tickets to Orlando ahead of the final.

Viewers were left cringing over the scenes as they took to Twitter to admit they had even been ‘put off their dinner’.

The racy kiss came after an evening of hilarious entertainment highlighted by Ant’s entrance, which saw him throwing an expensive camera to the ground.

His decision to go rogue with a crew member’s camera left Dec lost for words during Saturday Night Takeaway, as he destroyed it by hurling it onto the floor.

The hilarious gaffe kicked off Saturday’s live show after Ant and Dec stole cameras from members of the crew, before Ant threw his onto the floor, causing Dec and the audience to gasp in horror.

As Ant and Dec made their usual entrance down the studio steps, the presenting duo decided to offer viewers a new glimpse of the show by stealing two large cameras.

After making it onto the set, Ant decided he was ready to ditch the hefty equipment, and shouting: ‘Grab this Alan it’s a bit heavy!’

It didn’t seem that Alan was ready to catch the camera that was then hurled towards him, and it hit the floor with an almighty thud.

Dec and most of the audience gasped in horror, with Ant awkwardly telling his partner to ‘put his down.’

Viewers then saw that the camera, which can cost several thousands pounds, had broken in two and was eventually picked up one of the crew.

Trying to compose himself, Dec quickly got the show back on track, before asking another member of the team to collect his camera as it was clearly weighing him down.

It was another eventful evening for the presenting duo, with the latest episode featuring guest announcer Greg James, along with Craig David who featured in a hilarious edition of I’m A Celebrity Get Out Of Me Ear!

Among the highlights were Craig read out his daily routine from a diary, which included some playful references to one of his greatest hits, and having a go at painting one the members of the public who had ‘applied’ for the job.

During the show, Ant and Dec also shared another glimpse of the long-awaited return of their Undercover segment, which will see the pair once again prank The Chase host Bradley Walsh when it airs later this series.

15 years after they first stitched up the star, Ant and Dec decided it was time to prank him yet again, and this time it would be by giving him the Chase episode of his nightmares.
