For a man who is gearing up to date 20 women at once in The Bachelor mansion, Locklan ‘Locky’ Gilbert appears up to the challenge.
Just a week after he was announced as Australia’s 2020 male suitor, a third ‘secret ex-girlfriend’ claims she was ‘ghosted’ by Locky as lockdown began for the show.
Speaking to Hit92.9’s Xavier Juelz & Pete on Tuesday, Perth-based Holly Newman claimed she was ‘intimate’ with Locky and hoped their relationship would progress to something more ‘exclusive’.

It follows reports the 30-year-old business owner was also dating his Australian Survivor co-star Brooke Jowett, 26, until recently, as well as seeing model Charlie Octavia, 27.
Treading delicately with the language, the radio hosts asked ‘when was the last time you two were rounding a few bases?’ to which she said without hesitation: ‘Probably about a week before he was announced as The Bachelor.’
‘I didn’t think we were exclusive, but I was hoping it would go that way,’ the 28-year-old said.
She added: ‘I definitely was not his girlfriend. I wouldn’t say we were together, we just met up more than five times – it’s modern dating.’

According to Woman’s Day, Locky also ended a relationship with Charlie Octavia, 27, just days before going into lockdown for The Bachelor.
‘She was absolutely smitten with him – they shared a really special bond… she thought he was The One,’ the friend claimed.
Speaking to Daily Mail Australia on Tuesday, Charlie clarified: ‘I do know Locky, but he was never my boyfriend.’

Just days before Locky was announced as the Bachelor, Brooke Jowett, whom he had grown close to on Australian Survivor: All Stars, told TV Week their relationship had potential.
‘We haven’t completely written it off, it’s just very complicated with the distance,’ the 26-year-old said, referencing the fact they live in different states.
But when news broke that Locky would be handing out roses on national TV, Brooke expressed her disappointment on Instagram.

‘I’m hurt and a little blindsided but I wish the best for Locky, I always will,’ she wrote.
‘I guess we had different things planned in our heads for what was to come over the next few months but you can’t be mad at someone for doing what they feel is best for them, even if it does sting a little.’
Locky had previously dated Love Island star Jordan Cayless until mid-2019.
