Bachelorette alum Chad Johnson charged with domestic violence

Just days after Chad Johnson and supposed ex Annalise Mishler seemed to be enjoying a Saturday night date, charges have officially been filed against Johnson following his arrest for domestic violence in February.

Johnson, 32, was charged with corporal injury to his ex-girlfriend, one count of battery, one count of witness intimidation, one count of trespassing and two counts of vandalism, according to TMZ.

The Bachelor star also opened up to US Weekly on Monday, confirming they are, ‘not officially together but we are working on things,’ adding, ‘She has given me a list of things to fix and change.’

Chad was arrested on Monday, February 24 following a drunken encounter where he punched a hole into Annalise’s wall the night before. 

Authorities with the Los Angeles Police Department arrested the Bachelor in Paradise star for felony domestic violence and robbery charges.

The altercation reportedly began after Johnson got ‘drunk for the first time in 50 days’ over the weekend.

He told US Weekly that he was, ‘completely out of character,’ when he punched a hole in the wall.

‘I was just spiraling from stress and having lost my relationship with Annalise that morning. I made a promise to myself and to Annalise to no longer drink,’ he added.

He added, ‘I’ve apologized to Annalise for my behavior. I’m looking into some outpatient processes that can help me. Annalise and I are not back together but we are going looking into couples therapy now.’

Mishler also spoke with US Weekly, revealing, ‘he was in a bad state mentally so I was trying to make sure he was OK.

She added that after the arrest he, ‘made a video accusing me of things that are not true,’ which Johnson addressed as well.

‘I accused her of escorting but I was wrong. I also accused her of other things because I was mad,’ he added.

They both also have OnlyFans accounts, but they recently created a joint account in hopes it will help their relationship.

‘In order to spend more time together, we have created a joint account showing our intimate personal relationship,’ Johnson said.

‘We hope that this OnlyFans experience bonds us even more and gives more time to grow as a couple,’ he added.

Johnson acknowledged that the next step is to address his alcohol issues in hopes he can move forward in his relationship with Mishler.

‘The next steps are simply getting help with my alcohol issues, couples therapy with Annalise, and growing as people,’ Johnson said.

‘We have a lot to work on, and I am not ready to jump into a relationship until many things change — things from before this incident and during,’ Mishler added.

The couple definitely looked like they were back on during a date night at the Cheesecake Factory in Sherman Oaks on Sunday night.

Fans will definitely be surprised to see the pair together, following their explosive altercation back in February. 

That all seemed to be water on the bridge for the couple.

Chad, 32, had a smile on his face as he slung an arm around Annalise’s shoulders and she held onto his hand. 

The PDA continued by a water fountain, where Annalise sat on Chad’s lap as he lavished her with more affection.

The reality star sweetly kissed Annalise as she wrapped her arms around his neck. 

As Annalise rose, he continued touching her legs. 

Annalise was looking rather chilly yet stylish in her denim romper with leopard print belt and white ankle boots, injecting a Mod touch to her outfit.

She slung an orange purse across her body and wore her hair partially up into a high ponytail.

Sporting a black sweater with jeans, Chad was looking smart yet casual for the date.  

As loved-up as the couple looked on Saturday, Annalise insisted during their first joint interview together with E! Daily Pop that they were not back together but were ‘working through things.’ 

‘I’m not at a point to just jump back into things,’ she said. ‘I have to see change and feel better about things.’  

Talking to the camera in another video, Annalise explained how Chad ‘went crazy’ after she confronted him about seeing alerts on his phone from the dating app Hinge.

The Sunday night posts included shots of fist-sized holes in the apartment walls, as well as a followup video of what appeared to be the reality persona verbally attacking Mishler while she tried to get back into her apartment.

‘This is the reality of my life, which is great,’ she said sarcastically, then showing her ‘traumatized’ calico cat.

She later accused him of taking her phone while she was calling 911, which prompted the arrest after LAPD officers saw red marks on her face.

Chad later apologized for his actions and claimed he had blacked out and didn’t remember anything.

‘I had a little relapse … well I wouldn’t call it a little relapse,’ he told TooFab last week. ‘Big relapse.

‘I’ve been so stressed man, just sitting in my car crying sometimes, just losing my mind. And to top it all off, the one person I’m closest to doesn’t get me a lot of times. I just lost it.’

Authorities performed a wellness check on the Ex on the Beach contestant after he shared ominous posts to his Instagram on Saturday.

The first of Johnson’s concerning videos featured the star at a table, where he was blasting Billy Joel’s song Piano Man with what appeared to be a green rope next to his wallet.

The second video showed Johnson attempting to speak to someone standing on the other side of a door.

‘I’m okay,’ and demanding: ‘hey idiots stop calling the police I’m not at home.’

On Monday, the couple had their first joint interview together where they addressed all the drama.

Annalise told E! she posted everything online because she was ‘scared.’ 

Chad also said he was planning on seeking treatment for his troubles with alcohol. 

‘I’m going to do one of those outpatient things,’ he said. ‘But it’s just hard to deal with because it’s not like I wake up every day and have a drink. It’s one of those things where people are like, “We gotta lock you away so you won’t drink.” I’m like, “I’m not drinking. I go to the gym two hours a day.” It’s just the dealing with that one time, every couple of months or something happens and then I have an issue.”

Chad was also asked about being put on ‘suicide watch.’ At one point, the reality star was sent to the hospital after authorities deemed he may pose a danger to himself, TMZ reported. 

‘People had thought I had hit her and all this stuff,’ he responded. ‘I mean, I hit the wall… but everybody threw me to the side. All my sponsors, everything I had, everything I was working for. I just kind of lost it, you know? And to top it all off, I was still wasted after that entire scenario.’ 

Annalise said they wanted to seek both couple and individual therapy.

‘We have a lot to work on, honestly,’ she said.

Johnson first appeared on the Bachelorette during JoJo Fletcher’s season in 2016 and went on to appear in Famously Single and Celebrity Big Brother UK.
