Standing her ground: Married At First Sight star Stacey Hampton, 26, has unleashed upon trolls over the relentless online abuse directed at her family and fellow cast members

She went on to explain: ‘The fact that people are now going out to make death threats towards other humans and even family members and children is disgusting. Absolutely disgusting.’

Justifying her decision to hit back at the haters, Stacey said she believed that if she stayed silent it would say more about her than ‘anybody else’.

‘If you think that’s acceptable then I suggest Susan, Karen, anonymous, whatever your frickin’ username is, I suggest you put the Cheetos down and go up to your child and say ‘hope you die”,’ she said, pointing her finger at the screen.

Stacey said she doubted anyone would do such a horrific act in real life.

‘You might feel superior behind your little phones, but going out and actually doing it and saying it to their face is another thing,’ she raged.

‘We are humans, we were there to entertain you, don’t forget it, alright? I can deal with it. I don’t care. But I’ve got two kids too.’

Stacey went on to insist she doesn’t care whether viewers caller a ‘gold digger’.

‘If you’re slagging off on me, I love it, I don’t care, call me gold digger, I’ll laugh. I love Gold Digger by Kanye West and that’s gonna be my ringtone. Don’t care,’ she said.

‘But, when you bring other people into it, kids. Juvenile kids. Innocent people, parties who did not sign the contract, that’s disgusting.’

Stacey also revealed she has seen her co-stars ‘crumbling’ from the ongoing abuse, with some unable to go to work because they were ‘depressed’.

‘I can handle it but not everyone else can. The fact that I’m consoling these people. I’m not even friends with all of them, and you know what? I would never say ‘go kill yourself’ – even to Hayley [Vernon].

Stacey urged viewers to ‘reassess their lives’ and ‘just be kind’.
