Four teenagers aged 15 and 16 suffer knife wounds after multiple stabbing during fight between youths in east London as police arrest seven people

Four teenage boys were taken to hospital after being stabbed in east London during a fight between youths last night. 

Police arrested seven people for the ‘multiple’ stabbing in Walthamstow, north east London.

The four victims, aged 15 and 16, received treatment in the hospital and none of the injuries are thought to be life-threatening.

One witness said: ‘Somebody has just been stabbed outside my flat. 

‘I didn’t know what was going on but police told me to get inside immediately as lots of other dangerous people on the estate.’

Roads in and around the area were closed and police have been given additional search powers for Walthamstow, Leyton and Leytonstone following the stabbings.

Waltham Forest Police tweeted last night: ‘Officers are currently on scene dealing with a multiple person stabbing in Walthamstow, E17. 

‘All victims are receiving treatment in hospital and we await an update on their condition. 

‘This is an isolated incident and we don’t believe there is a risk to members of the public.’

Shortly after midnight, the force said: ‘Four males, all aged around 15/16, taken to hospital with stab/ slash injuries – none believed to be life-threatening. 

‘Seven arrests in total for violent disorder, possession of offensive weapon & affray.’ 

They added: ‘Due to the recent stabbing in Walthamstow officers have been given additional search powers under Section 60 of CJPOA for Walthamstow, Leyton and Leytonstone area.’
