Ali Fedotowsky thinks Peter Weber’s mom needs to apologize for her behavior toward Madison Prewett

She knows first-hand how difficult it is to star on a reality show after serving as The Bachelorette in 2010 during season six of the popular dating program.

And Ali Fedotowsky-Manno was appalled by Peter Weber’s mother’s behavior to Madison Prewett during the After The Final Rose ceremony.

The 35-year-old lifestyle blogger told People magazine that there was ‘no excuse’ for Barbara’s actions and the protective mom needs to apologize to Prewett and her family.

After watching the season and then witnessing Barbara confront Madison on live television, Ali was not pleased with what she saw. 

‘I think my overall reaction was just disappointment and frustration that Barb was putting her own feelings and thoughts on Peter, rather than letting Peter make decisions for himself,’ she said. 

Barbara verbally sparred with Madison during the finale on Tuesday night before pleading with her husband in Spanish for back-up in trash talking. 

‘Some people are arguing that she said, “I just want what’s best for my son,”‘ she said. ‘Well, her son is sitting there clearly saying that he’s in love with somebody, and if she truly wants the best for him and loves him unconditionally, she needs to let him make decisions for himself.’

Peter proposed to Hannah Ann Sluss during the final episode of The Bachelor, but ended things soon after and reignited a romance with Madison, much to Barb’s dismay.

‘That’s what trusting someone is all about. She needs to trust her son to make these decisions,’ she said. ‘Whether or not she agrees with Peter’s choice, that was not the time or place on national television for her to try to tear Madison down and make her seem like some terrible person.’

‘To me, the way Barb treated her, there’s no excuse for it. It’s appalling quite frankly.’ 

Fedotowsky added: ‘I hope that she has some sort of epiphany after watching it back and can offer a so badly needed apology to Madison and her family.’

Despite the tense stand-off earlier this week, it appeared that Peter made a final decision to cut things off with Madison. 

‘Madi and I have mutually decided to not pursue our relationship any further,’ Peter said on Instagram Thursday night. ‘Believe me this was not easy for either of us to be ok with, but after a lot of honest conversations, we have agreed that this is what makes most sense for the two of us.’
