Sofia Vergara and Howie Mandel show up to film America’s Got Talent without an audience

It was another day at the office for these two America’s Got Talent judges, yet a few vital elements were missing.

While both Howie Mandel and Sofia Vergara were seen Friday arriving at the Pasadena, California studio where the NBC talent show is filmed, their colleague and co-judge Heidi Klum appeared on Instagram that morning from her bed, as she is currently home sick.

The other big difference for the judges is that AGT will be filmed with no live in-studio audience, as the show has gone the route of many others in efforts to limit crowds and clusters of people in light of current health concerns the world over.

Sofia looked dressed down yet chic as she arrived on the rainy day, in a fringed knit blue and white blanket sweater worn over a shirt displaying a bejeweled good luck eye.

She wore light grey slightly ripped jeans, and black Nike hi-tops. 

The Modern Family actress carried a giant black umbrella, as well as her quilted black leather Chanel shoulder bag. 

Howie showed up in his usual getup of a red Baywatch-style hoodie, with a light jacket worn over it, and dark zippered cargo pants.

The host had a look of preoccupied concern on his face, underneath the brim of his black Los Angeles Dodgers baseball cap.

It was a return to normalcy after Howie’s crazy (but understandable) outfit earlier in the week, when on Tuesday he showed up in a hazmat suit and gasmask amid the general panic around the coronavirus outbreak.

But once inside, Mandel again changed into the hazmat suit for the episode’s taping. 

And once again, Sofia’s Modern Family costar Eric Stonestreet was seen arriving for the taping, as a replacement for the under-the-weather Klum.

In her Instagram Story on Friday morning, Heidi informed viewers of her condition, saying she wasn’t feeling well and had a cough and runny nose.

She said that she doesn’t yet know whether it’s related to the current worldwide epidemic of coronavirus, and that she would very much like to get the test, but she has thus far been unable to get tested for it, despite her best efforts with two doctors.
