Teresa Palmer, Sam Frost, Aisha Jade join John Farnham’s ‘Pressure Down’ challenge on TikTok 

John Farnham’s 1986 hit Pressure Down has been given a second life in a dance challenge popularised on TikTok and Instagram.  

Many Australian celebrities such as Teresa Palmer and Aisha Jade have jumped on the bandwagon, posting their own versions of the challenge. 

On Thursday, Home and Away actress Sam Frost posted a video of herself in loungewear dancing to the 80s tune, captioned ‘Day 4. Self isolation.’ 

For her challenge, Sam put on a pair of sunglasses before dancing and rolling around her apartment and even doing the worm as her two dogs looked on. 

Meanwhile, Hacksaw Ridge actress Teresa Palmer posted her own version of the challenge last week, enlisting the help of two of her children – Forest Sage, three, and Bodhi Rain, six.  

Both of the children put on sunglasses and danced while Teresa busted out some groovy moves in the background.   

‘This is important (well… not really but it is nice respite),’ she captioned the post. 

Teresa then nominated other actresses such as Phoebe Tonkin, Bella Heathcote and Jessica McNamee to do the challenge – although none of them have posted their own versions just yet. 

The challenge was originally started by Chilling Adventures of Sabrina actor Luke Cook last year. 

But Luke sparked a second wave of challenge videos last week, when he posted a second challenge, in which he danced in underpants and a colourful shirts. 

Big Brother star-turned-actress Aisha Jade was one of the early adopters of the challenge who posted a video last year. 

In the clip, Aisha and a group of friends belted out the John Farnham song from speakers and took turns at dancing to the camera.   

John Farnham’s Pressure Down peaked at number four on the Australian charts in 1986 and was the second single from his Whispering Jack album.
