The anti-Seaworld ad compares the conditions of animals to the ones people are struggling with everyday now during quarantine.

‘If you think isolation is hard, try it for 30 years,’ reads the tagline.

In an accompanying interview, the reality star shared why animal rights mattered to her, and how her love for animals bonded her with Colton.

The star recalled seeing dolphins swimming during her surfing sessions, and how the thought of them being removed from their natural habitat saddened her.

‘Sometimes I’ll see dolphins, it’s really amazing to see them out there. The fact that people would take them from their natural environment and their families and their life is just so sad, because really people are doing it for money and for entertainment.

‘And so I think it’s important with a platform, you use it to stand up for things that you really believe in.’

Cassie also believes her and Colton’s shared fondness for animals helped strengthen their relationship.

The couple met when Cassie was competing for Colton’s heart on The Bachelor, but she says their shared animal interests brought them closer.

‘I definitely think mine and Colton’s love for animals helped us bond. Obviously he’s a dog guy, and I’m a cat girl, so right now I’m fostering kittens, and now he’s full-on cat dad,’ she explained.

She also offered suggestions for how to improve the conditions of marine animals.

‘I think a way to help marine mammals is to urge aquariums to really take the marine mammals and take them by a seaside sanctuary, where they are safe, and they’re also in their natural environment, so they’re having a happy, full life, and I also think it’s important to not visit these places that are putting their mammals in captivity.

‘I don’t think people are really aware of how sad their lives really are when they’re there.’
