Emma Watkins celebrated two years since her endometriosis surgery this week. 

The 30-year-old shared an Instagram post discussing her journey and thanking the medical staff and fans who supported her. 

The Wiggles star wrote: ‘I realised that it is two years since my Endometriosis surgery and I would like to thank all the women who have connected and shared their stories and advice with me over these last two years.

‘A special thank you to the health professionals who guided me through, Dr Jason Abbott, Leah Hechtman, Mark and Julie Uren, Ruth Schubert and Anthea Doropoulos. 

‘My health has improved but it is constant management. I’m so happy to be back dancing and performing albeit connecting through the digital world now.’ 

Emma first revealed she was suffering from endometriosis during an appearance on the Today show in April 2018 after undergoing surgery.

At the time, she described her diagnosis as ‘a really big shock’.

‘Over the last couple of years, I’d noticed a lot of pain. I think even as a girl, you’re just used to dealing with what you have to deal with,’ she said.

‘As it started to progress and get a little bit worse, I thought I should get it checked out.’

Emma separated from Purple Wiggle Lachlan ‘Lachy’ Gillespie in August 2018, after two years of marriage.    

Lachy is engaged to his ballet dancer girlfriend, Dana Stephensen.

Speaking to Who in August last year Emma said: ‘We are the best of friends and we were always meant to be. We were close before we started dating and now we’ve come full circle!’ 

Meanwhile, Emma is dating The Wiggles’ musician Oliver Brian, 32.
