‘I love that Georgie Parker is my character Martha’s mum, Roo Stewart,’ Jodi told the publication, saying Georgie is her ‘all-time favourite actress.’

She added about her character: ‘I’ve always missed Martha.’

Crediting Home and Away to her career success, Jodi added: ‘I’m always open to the idea of a return, I’ve moved back to Sydney where it’s filmed so who knows what the future brings?’

Jodi appeared on Home and Away from 2005 to 2010, and even won a Logie award for her acting.

She announced the news back in January, bidding goodbye to her beloved school teacher character, Elly Conway.

After she took time off last year because of exhaustion, Jodi told The Daily Telegraph in January that her leaving had nothing to do with her time off.

‘It’s completely unrelated,’ Jodi said.

Jodi revealed she was feeling ‘better than ever’ following her decision, adding that she just wanted a fresh opportunity.

The mother-of-one added: ‘It’ll be a huge change for me.’

‘I’ll get to do more school drop offs, all that kind of stuff, and just get back into auditioning again.’
