Florence Pugh, Chris Pine and Shia LaBoeuf are set to star in a new psychological thriller, written and directed by Olivia Wilde.

Don’t Worry Darling will be set in the 1950s Californian desert depicting an isolated, utopian community.

Little Women star Florence, 24, will take the lead role as a housewife who discovers a disturbing revelation about her life, states the Hollywood Reporter.

Production company New Line hopes to start filming as soon as possible once coronavirus lockdown restrictions are relaxed. 

Before the pandemic took hold, the film was slated to start production in late spring.   

The film will be Wilde’s second time directing after the success of her debut Booksmart in 2019, and she will also be acting in Don’t Worry Darling.

Florence will look to continue her rapid rise through Hollywood following her successes in Midsommar and Little Women in 2019, which saw her receive an Oscar nomination.

The actress will next be on our screens in Black Widow in which she stars alongside Scarlett Johansson.

Florence recently admitted she struggled with ‘feeling low’ at the beginning of the coronavirus lockdown.

She said she managed to lift her spirits during isolation by dancing and growing a vegetable patch in her garden, which she has used to create some delicious dishes. 

Florence has been isolating with her boyfriend Zach Braff, 45, and recently had to defend her relationship after being attacked by trolls.

Sharing a lengthy video on Instagram, the star said she should not be told who she ‘should and shouldn’t love,’ after her birthday tribute to Zach was hit by a torrent of abusive comments.
