Seinfeld actor Gene Dynarski dies aged 86 in Los Angeles rehabilitation centre
Gene Dynarski has died at the age of 86.
Playwright Ernest Kearney confirmed that the Seinfeld actor died on February 27 at a rehabilitation centre in Studio City, Los Angeles.
Gene was best known for playing Izzy Mandelbaum Jr, the son of Lloyd Bridges’ character in hit US sitcom Seinfeld.

Gene also starred in alien abduction movie Close Encounters of the Third Kind, as well as Star Trek and Batman.
In 1966 Gene played Benedict, one of Egghead’s henchmen, in Batman, and the same year he appeared as miner Ben Childres in Star Trek, in episode Mudd’s Women.
Three years later he appeared and as Krodak (a representative of a city up for Federation membership) in the 1969 episode The Mark of Gideon.
In a 2000 episode of The X-Files, the actor’s character fell victim to a bat creature.
