Bella Hadid pens touching tribute to sister Gigi Hadid in celebration of the model’s 25th birthday

Gigi Hadid rang in her 25th birthday on Thursday while self-isolating at mother Yolanda Hadid’s farm in Pennsylvania. 

But Bella Hadid, 23, was not ready to put the celebrating to rest, when she took to Instagram on Friday to wish a ‘happy birthday to [her] best friend, leader, teacher, [and] parter in crime.’

‘I wouldn’t be able to do this life without you by my side! Thank you for being the greatest big sister to me that I could ever ask for,’ wrote Bella, who shared a slew of pictures of the pair from throughout the years.

She continued: ‘I couldn’t have dreamt you up…I am so grateful for everything that you are and I celebrate you not only today, but everyday! 

‘Obsessed with you foofoooo! Happy 25th @gigihadid,’ concluded Hadid.

For the first portrait of the photo series – shared to her 29.9million followers – Bella and Gigi can be seen posing on their farmhouse’s deck, while carrying balloons in their hands.

Gigi looked noticeably makeup-free and cozy on her big day in a black turtleneck sweater, coordinating blazer, and a pair of high waisted denim jeans.

Bella, with a smirk wiped across her face, held on tightly to her number five balloon, while donning a floral patterned button up shirt.

She layered up her look with a white crop top and slipping her slender stems into a pair of black low rise pants. 

As if one darling pic of the duo were not enough, Bella treated fans to a total of 18 of her favorite photos of herself and Gigi.

One shot in particular featured baby Bella and Gigi sharing a loved-up embrace, while dressed up in coordinating princess gowns.

Another shot showed a very sleepy Bella resting on Gigi’s knee, while the pair prepared for an early morning photoshoot.

Bella paid homage to her and her sister’s various lavish getaways when she posted pictures of them clanking glasses at the U.S. Open and some beachside snapshots from a pre-quarantine getaway.

A black-and-white portrait of the pair – taken during childhood – featured Gigi wearing a large white hat and a leopard scarf, while flashing a proud thumbs up to the camera.

The unbreakable bond between the Vogue covergirls was made evident in a photo taken backstage at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion show in 2018 and another candid photo captured in the back of a vehicle. 

With so many memories with her sister to share, Bella created a second post packed to the brim with exclusive content.  

‘My rider! @gigihadid 25…big girl,’ captioned the former girlfriend of The Weeknd. 

She commenced her second picture spam with a picture of herself and Gigi worthy of more than a few heart-eye emojis.   

Both wearing fluffy angel wings, pint-sized versions of Bella and Gigi beamed at the camera lens and held onto one another. 

In the midst of all the still images, Bella decided to throw in some random clips of the pair from their appearance at the 2019 Video Music Awards and a past concert outing.

Another image proved Gigi’s dedication to big sister duties by showing a two-year-old Gigi administering a bottle to a newborn Bella. 

One photo taken during Halloween of 2019 showed off the sisters’ similar flare for the dramatic as they stepped out for the evening dressed as Jim Carey’s character from The Mask and Catwoman.

For her post’s big finale, Bella shared a sweet portrait she had taken of Gigi at the family farm, as well as a photo of her planting a kiss on her older sister’s cheek. 

During Gigi’s birthday bash on Thursday, Bella took to her Instagram Story to document everything from Gigi blowing out the candles on her birthday cake to the bevy of presents the model received from friends and family. 

Gigi’s pop star bestie Taylor Swift treated her to a gorgeous bouquet of flowers on behalf of herself and actor boyfriend Joe Alwyn.

In typical Swift fashion, the Bad Blood singer insisted that the floral arrangement was also a gift from her cats Olivia and Meredith.

Gigi shared the arrangement – complete with bright red, purple, and magenta flowers to her Instagram Story

‘love n appreciate uuuu,’ wrote Gigi, who went on to tag Swift and Alwyn in the post seen by her 52.4million followers. 

Gigi and Bella are the daughters of Yolanda Hadid, 56, and real estate mogul Mohamed Hadid, 71.

Yolanda and her husband of six-years divorced in 2000 and are also parents to son Anwar, age 20.
