Beyonce’s mother Tina Lawson posts throwback snaps as a young woman and baby

Beyonce’s mother Tina Lawson posted a smoldering throwback snap to her Instagram page this Tuesday.

In the picture the now-66-year-old was a young woman with a short hairdo and a strapless dress, modeling a glittering necklace and earrings.

She got a slew of admiring comments including from Beyonce’s old Destiny’s Child bandmate Kelly Rowland who wrote: ‘SO BEAUTIFUL!!’

As the day wore on this Tuesday, Tina also posted an old rumpled black and white picture that showed her as a toddler.

Referring to her husband Richard Lawson she wrote: ‘Richard talks about how big my head was !And it is pretty big! So what !!!!!my body caught up eventually’.

When Tina was a young woman she was a beautician in Houston, eventually opening up a successful salon called Headliners in 1990.

While working she raised her two daughters and future superstars Beyonce and Solange with her first husband Mathew Knowles.

When Beyonce first rose to fame as part of the girl group Destiny’s Child, Mathew was their manager and Tina made their costumes.

Tina and Beyonce have since worked together to launch on the fashion line House Of Dereon and a Brooklyn cosmetology center named after the Single Ladies singer.

Mathew and Tina finalized their divorce in 2011 and four years later she married Richard, an actor who has featured in such films as Poltergeist.

Lately Mathew has been developing a stage show about his daughter’s girl group called Survivor: The Destiny’s Child Musical, according to Playbill.

‘The main character is me, because I’m telling my perspective. It starts when the girls were very young on Star Search, up till about 2010,’ Mathew told Paper last April. 

‘That’s what we’re doing more – telling my story. At 67, if I don’t tell my story, someone will tell his story and it would be inaccurate.’
