Beyoncé and Megan Thee Stallion’s new Savage remix sparks huge surge in donations for Houston food charity within 24 hours of single’s release

Beyoncé and Megan Thee Stallion’s new Savage remix has sparked a huge surge in donations for food charity Bread of Life.      

Megan, 25, included the original song on her new EP Suga released last month and surprised her followers with the remix on Wednesday.

Fans went wild for the collaboration, with the duo donating all the proceed to charity in their hometown, Houston.

Bread of Life charity told TMZ they had received donations from 500 new donors in the first 24 hours after the song’s debut.

According to the publications, fans have donated anything from $5 to $50, which is being used to provide food parcels to those families who need it most.     

Megan could not contain her excitement at Beyonce’s inclusion when she announced the new music on her Instagram.

‘I’m literally crying being from HOUSTON MF TEXAS this shit means EVERYTHING to me !!!! SAVAGE REMIX FT THE QUEEN @BEYONCE OUT NOW!’ she wrote.

‘All the artist proceeds of the song goes to @breadoflifehou to support our city during this pandemic! HOTTIES WE UP,’ she crowed.

She also posted the art for the single, which showed an animated horse in front of a sign welcoming onlookers to Houston. 

The duo began trending on social media which erupted with delight, with one fan writing: ‘THIS IS A MOMENT IN HISTORYYYY’.

In a nod to her mother Tina Lawson, Beyonce raps on the new remix that ‘my mama was a savage, n**** got this s*** from Tina.’

She also says she is wearing ‘IVY PARK on my frame,’ referring to the clothing line she co-founded and named after her daughter Blue Ivy, eight.
