KFC has said it is looking into what had happened at the Filton restaurant and will reinforce the new guidelines to all drivers.

A spokesperson said: ‘We’ve introduced new measures to make sure we’re reopening responsibly for both our team members and delivery drivers.

‘These include stickers on the floor and clear signage to help delivery drivers follow social distancing guidance, as well as contactless handover of food.

‘It’s nice to see how much we’ve been missed – and we’re grateful to our teams for working hard to keep up with demand.’

The spokesperson added: ‘We’re looking into what’s happened at our Filton restaurant and our delivery partners are following up with their drivers in the area to remind them of these new processes.’

It is not clear who the pictured drivers work for. However, a sticker on the store entrance shows Deliveroo delivers from the store.

If riders are found not to be abiding public health measures, they could lose their account.

Riders for Uber Eats and Just Eat also deliver for KFC.
