Did you spot the mistake? MasterChef Australia suffers ANOTHER embarrassing editing gaffe

MasterChef Australia: Back To Win suffered yet another editing fail on Wednesday night.

The show’s editors were left red-faced after fans pointed out the incorrect spelling of a basic nut in a cutaway shot.

Underneath a close-up of the dessert, the dish was labelled ‘penut ice cream with fig compote’.

Instead, the spelling should have been ‘peanut’.

Fans found the simple error hilarious, sharing the blunder on social media.

One fan uploaded a screengrab of the mistake, writing: ‘Anyone else notice something wrong here?’

‘Yep, noticed it at the time,’ one Facebook user replied.

‘Maybe there is a “Penut” ice cream flavour,’ another joked.

A third added: ‘Editors need spell check.’

It certainly isn’t the first editing fail MasterChef has suffered this season.

It's not the first editing fail! During the judging of a mystery box challenge last week, a Melbourne local threatened to upstage the result. As Andy Allen, Melissa Leong, and Jock Zonfrillo were about to reveal the winners, a casually-dressed man walking past could not be missed on camera

During the judging of a mystery box challenge last week, a Melbourne local threatened to upstage the result.

As Andy Allen, Melissa Leong, and Jock Zonfrillo were about to reveal the winners, a casually-dressed man walking past could not be missed on camera.

A middle-aged man dressed in a polo shirt and trackpants was featured predominantly onscreen, walking behind the judges.

And in another scene, a young boy on a bicycle was also seen behind the judges.

Last month, viewers noticed that judge Melissa appeared in two places at once, suggesting the footage was chopped up in a misleading sequence to build suspense.

During the final moments of the mystery box challenge, she was counting down at the front of the studio in one scene, then behind Reynold Poernomo in the next.

The bizarre sequence began with Melissa standing with Jock and Andy at the front of the kitchen while the challenge came to an end.

‘Come on! Two minutes to go,’ Jock shouted, as the cast raced to finish their dishes and the judges put the pressure on by watching them up the front.

But when the camera cut to Reynold, who was shelling his lobster, Melissa was behind him on the opposite side of the studio.
