‘It was kinda weird’: Fans slam pregnant Katy Perry for wiggling her bottom at the camera while tasting a dish on MasterChef… but others praise singer for providing some light relief
She’s the international superstar who turned up the heat when she arrived to the MasterChef Australia kitchen on Thursday night.
But not all fans were impressed by Katy Perry’s appearance on the cooking show.
Some viewers slammed the pregnant singer, 35, for wiggling her bottom in front of the camera after tasting Poh Ling Yeow’s dish.

‘Omg why did Katy wiggle her butt in front of the camera. That was soo bad,’ one person wrote on Facebook.
Another person commented: ‘That was a bit over the top but she was genuinely fun. It surprised me a lot.’
‘It was kinda weird but hilarious,’ another person agreed. ‘What a joke and no proper judging,’ one said.
Another said: ‘Found her a bit of an embarrassment particularly with the napkin bra… tarty and tacky.’

During the episode, the chart-topper also begged judge Jock Zonfrillo to cut up her food because she had sprained her thumb – and cracked a racy joke in the process.
‘Will you cut my meat for me?’ Katy asked Jock, after being presented with Shanghainese red-braised pork during a taste testing.
The Hot N Cold singer laughed as the Scottish chef obliged, before singing: ‘Party in my mouth! Put it in my mouth, Daddy!’

Jock was obliging to the request and the joke appeared to get a slew of laughs from the contestants and judges, including Andy Allen who said: ‘Can you cut mine, too, please, Daddy?’
Upon her arrival at the kitchen, the singer announced, ‘Well, me and my unborn child are ready to eat. You have two mouths to feed.’
Katy then went on to explain that she’s more a fan of savoury foods than a sweet tooth.
