Ryan Seacrest denies he suffered a stroke as fans express concerns after host appeared to slur speech during American Idol finale

  • Ryan sparked concern after he appeared to briefly slur his words on American Idol on Sunday
  • His left eye appeared larger than his right and fans noted something seemed ‘off’ 
  • A rep for the star said Ryan, 45, did not suffer a stroke
  • They added that the TV host is just adjusting to the new normal and ‘the added stress of putting on live shows from home’ 
  • Ryan did not appear on morning show Live with Kelly and Ryan on Monday 

Ryan Seacrest has denied he suffered a stroke on Sunday after he seemingly struggled to read off his script during the American Idol finale broadcast.

Fans took to Twitter to share their concerns after the 45-year-old, towards the end of the show, appeared to slightly slur his words and his left eye looked larger than his right. 

A rep for Ryan told People on Monday: ‘Ryan did not have any kind of stroke last night,’ 

‘Like many people right now, Ryan is adjusting to the new normal and finding work-home balance, with the added stress of having to put on live shows from home.’

The TV host did not appear on Live with Kelly & Ryan on Monday morning.
