He failed to be crowned this year’s Lego Masters Champion.

But Trent Cucchiarelli has the perfect place to get over the disappointment – from his ultimate ‘man cave’ toy room in his Adelaide home.

The 38-year-old has been collecting thousands of figurines for over ’20 years’ and has a whole room dedicated to housing his impressive assortment of toys.

 ‘I have a dedicated toy room that is 6m x 4.8m, it’s jam-packed and overflows into the garage and a few cupboards around the house,’ he told The Advertiser on Tuesday.

With everything still in its pristine original packaging, you’ll be forgiven for accidentally thinking you’ve taken a wrong turn into a toy store.

‘If I want to open a toy, I will buy two,’ the father-of-two admitted.

The former accountant-turned-fantasy writer explained he was inspired to start his unusual collection after Star Wars figurines were re-released in the 90s.

‘Seeing these in the stores reignited my passion for toys and got me interested in looking for vintage toys I never had as a kid, but always wanted,’ he said.

Meanwhile, Trent and his partner Josh were runners-up in Monday’s episode of Lego Masters.

The pair were beaten by Alex and Jackson who took home a cash prize of $100,000 and a trophy completely made of Lego, after taking out the top spot with their incredible Frankenstein-inspired build.

It comes as Channel Nine revealed they are already on the hunt for avid builders to participate in the third season of the show.

Announcing the news on social media, Endemol Shine Australia is looking for creative applicants 15 years or over, according to the program’s official website.

All applicants are required to share images or mocks of their best Lego builds.

‘If your imagination was let loose in the ultimate Lego workshop… what would you build?’ the casting call reads.

‘We are searching for people who are passionate about Lego and love the storytelling and creativity that Lego brings’.
