CBS has ensured its long-running soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful will continue on through its 35th year on the air.
The network announced Wednesday that it has renewed The Bold and The Beautiful through the year 2022, ensuring the show runs through its 35th season.
The Bold and the Beautiful is still a big hit after all these years, winning its time slot on a regular basis and averaging 3.2 million viewers an episode.

‘For over three decades, The Bold and the Beautiful has been a cornerstone of the CBS Daytime lineup,” said Amy Reisenbach, Executive Vice President, Current Programs, CBS Entertainment.
‘The show has been a creative and ratings success due to the supremely talented cast, writers and producers that Brad Bell has assembled,’ she added.
‘Of course, none of this would have been possible without B&B’s dedicated fans, whose passion for these characters and stories is unsurpassed,’ the statement continued.

The Bold And the Beautiful is set in Los Angeles and is set in the world of high fashion, centering on the Forrester family and their fashion company, Forrester Creations.
The cast is lead by two actors who have been with the show since its premiere in 1987, John McCook as Eric Forrester and Katherine Kelly Lang as Brooke Logan.

The series was created by William J. Bell and Lee Phillip Bell, who also created The Young and the Restless, and both shows crossed over quite frequently.
