MasterChef’s Brendan Pang shares hilarious Mean Girls meme

MasterChef: Back To Win stars Brendan Pang, Reece Hignell and Jess Liemantara have remained close friends since appearing on 2018’s season 10.

And in an Instagram Story post on Sunday, Brendan revealed their pet name.

Alongside a candid photo of the trio relaxing at one of their homes, the 27-year-old captioned it ‘The Audrey’s’.

Brendan also took to Instagram Stories on Monday, this time sharing a hilarious meme from a MasterChef Instagram fan account.

The trio had their faces superimposed onto an image of Regina, Karen and Gretchen from the 2004 comedy film Mean Girls.  

‘They’re so fetch,’ the caption read, referencing a line from the movie. 

Back in July 2018, Reece explained to Instagram fans how the moniker ‘The Audrey’s’ came about.

The 28-year-old shared a photo of the group eating pizza, writing in the caption: ‘The three of us are often asked why we call each other ‘The Audrey’s’. 

‘Well, during our trip to Darwin, Jessie bought Brendan, herself and I matching stuffed monkeys named Audrey as a token of our friendship. 

‘The experiences and opportunities MasterChef has provided all of us has been mind-blowing, however the friendships I have made during this competition is not comparable to anything else.’

While Jess was eliminated on Sunday night’s episode of MasterChef: Back To Win, Brendan and Reece still have a chance to take out the title.

Appearing on Monday night’s episode of The Project, Jess named Brendan and Reece as two of the contestants she hopes makes it to the end.  

‘It’s really hard to tell [who will win], but I definitely want Brendan, Reece, Reynold [Poernomo] and Sarah Tiong to go all the way! Fingers crossed!’ the 22-year-old said. 

When the panel remarked how she was ‘split’ on her vote, Jess joked: ‘I’ll just list the entire lot!’
