Big Brother Australia: Fans divided by bizarre new bathroom rule that the housemates must follow

How would YOU react? Big Brother fans are divided by a bizarre new bathroom rule the housemates must follow – and it’ll cause plenty of arguments

The new series of Big Brother hasn’t even premiered yet, but a bizarre new rule has already divided viewers.

Channel Seven revealed on Thursday that the housemates’ shower time is limited to just 60 minutes of water per day divided between 20 people.

After working out that this means each contestant gets just three minutes of water at the start of the season (that is, if they split the time equally) fans have debated whether or not this is sufficient.

‘Nooo! You can’t do that!!! Ewww!’ one fan wrote on Instagram on Thursday.

‘F**k that! 20 mins for me, they can sort out the rest,’ another person commented.

However, one viewer said three minutes in the shower was plenty, adding: ‘Mate, I only do two.’

According to the Murray–Darling Basin Authority, the average Australian showers for seven minutes each day, using 55 litres of water.

A trailer for the Big Brother reboot hinted that the shower rule is set to cause drama.

Adelaide tradeswoman Talia Rycroft, 22, is shown gasping in disbelief as she prepares to get under the water.

Meanwhile, father-of-three Shane Vincent, 39, doesn’t seem concerned about using more than three minutes of water.
