Today host Karl Stefanovic is trolled about his weight gain while celebrating 20 years at Nine – as Allison Langdon snatches a cupcake from him because he’s ‘on a diet’
Today show host Karl Stefanovic vowed to lose 10kg last month, after he was weighed on live television.
And his co-host Allison Langdon joked about his diet on Tuesday when she cheekily snatched a cupcake from his hands.
The 45-year-old had been presented with the treat to celebrate 20 years at Channel Nine.

‘Here’s to another 20 years, I can’t imagine Channel Nine without you,’ Allison said sincerely as a producer brought out the cupcake with a lit candle.
As Karl marveled at the cupcake during the special on-air milestone, Allison jokingly stole it away.
‘And you can’t eat it because you’re on a diet!’ she laughed.
‘That’s incredibly mean,’ Karl replied, before adding. ‘I adore working with you guys, too. And I look forward to looking at that [cupcake] for the rest of the week.’

Last month, while interviewing obesity expert Dr Nick Fuller, Karl announced: ‘I’ll put you to the test. I need to lose 10 kilos.’
He then kick-started his 10-week weight loss challenge by doing his first weigh-in live on the Today show.
Karl admitted he was a little ’embarrassed’ about having his weight (105kg) revealed on national television.

In December, Karl joked about his weight after he was photographed at the beach in Byron Bay.
He shared one of the shirtless paparazzi photos – in which he displayed a noticeably fuller figure – and joked that he looked pregnant.
It was a hilarious way of confirming that his wife, Jasmine Yarbrough was pregnant and expecting their first child.
Jasmine gave birth to their adorable daughter, Harper May, in early May – making Karl a father of four.
He also shares three children with ex-wife Cassandra Thorburn: Jackson, 20, Ava, 15, and River, 13.
