Mark Wright reveals his father-in-law was left suit-less AN HOUR wedding to Michelle Keegan

‘He was wearing horrendous rainbow boxers’: Mark Wright reveals his father-in-law was left suit-less AN HOUR before walking daughter Michelle Keegan down the aisle

Mark Wright revealed a hilarious story in which his father-in-law was left without a suit an hour before walking daughter Michelle Keegan down the aisle in 2015.

Talking on his Heart evening show, Mark, 33, said Mike was left in ‘just a shirt, bow tie and horrendous rainbow coloured boxers.’

Detailing the story, he said: ‘My father in law right, it’s very hard to paint this picture, I love him very much, Mike if you’re listening – he’s normally keeping tabs on me, so he’s probably listening right now – I love ya!

‘On the wedding day right, he’s panicking about his speech, obviously I’m not in his greatest books, although he loves me, he also loves his daughter a lot more, and it was a hard question when I asked him for hand in marriage for his daughter…’

He continued: ‘All I wanted was things to go smoothly for him, even his table plan, we moved that on the day, he went into the marquee and was like “why am I sat there, I want to be sat there.”

‘We’re all there in the man cave, to make matters worse Michelle’s step-father’s there as well, we’re getting on our suits, looking slick as you come, black tie, tuxedo and I look around and my father in-law Mike is sat there in just a shirt, bow tie and rainbow coloured boxers.

‘They were horrendous by the way, Mike, if you’ve got them, please throw them away right now!’

Mark said: ‘Anyway, the story goes like this, the only suit to not arrive, was his… One hour before he’s walking his precious daughter down the aisle and he’s stood there in boxer shorts, a shirt and a bow-tie.

‘The looks I was getting from across the room were horrendous. But out of nowhere, this famous tailor, Stephen Williams, who you can have a bespoke suit made by if you go on Heart.co.uk right now, he comes out of nowhere, with this glistening suit and guess what, it fit him better than anyone’s!

Mark encouraged his listeners to check out the chance to bid on a bespoke tailored suit from Stephen Williams, and a virtual fitness class hosted by himself.

The auction is part of a star-studded charity auction in aid of Global’s Make Some Noise Emergency Appeal.

It is raising money for those hit hardest by coronavirus in our communities.

Mark concluded: ‘So Stephen Williams could be making you a brand new bespoke suit for any occasion, you just need to go on Heart.co.uk and bid on that, and just know that ever since then I’ve been in my father in law’s good books and he loves me to bits.’
