The Voice EXCLUSIVE: The TRUTH behind Kelly Rowland and Guy Sebastian’s bitter feud is revealed
The tension between coaches Kelly Rowland and Guy Sebastian on The Voice has been the focal point of the ninth season so far.
But it appears the rivalry between the two judges has little to do with disagreements over the contestants or song choices.
A production insider told Daily Mail Australia that Kelly, 39, had been ‘snappy’ while filming the Blinds and the Battle Rounds because she was on a low-calorie diet.

‘Kelly is always telling the coaches how she is healthy and can’t have any calories,’ the source said.
‘Guy would make comments about Kelly’s snappy moods and jokes about her not eating. Sometimes he would offer her chocolate.’
According to the insider, Kelly would snack on carrots and celery sticks between takes, whereas Guy, Delta Goodrem and Boy George would eat chips and Maltesers.

It is understood, Kelly snacks on carrots and celery sticks between takes, while her fellow coaches Guy, Delta Goodrem and Boy George all enjoy chocolates and Salt and Vinegar chips
In behind-the-scenes footage from last year’s season, the coaches feasted on fruit and cheese platters while Kelly nibbled on law-calorie crackers.
The insider added that the coaches get along for the most part, and their explosive feuds are simply the result of ‘TV trickery’.
Kelly’s eating habits, which Guy only found mildly annoying, were about the extent of the pair’s ‘rivalry’ this season.
TV tricks: The insider went on to say that this year, producers have gone to extreme efforts to make it appear there is tension between the judges
It comes after Kelly became so frustrated with Guy on Sunday night’s episode that she stormed off stage.
The Destiny’s Child star thought Guy had made an ‘unfair’ song choice for Bukhu Ganburged and Johnny Manuel’s duet.
He had allowed bookies’ favourite Johnny to take the lead in the performance while Mongolian throat singer Bukhu only had a supporting role.
In an earlier episode, Kelly had angrily confronted Guy after he turned his chair for a singer in the Blinds even though he already had a full team.
Changes: Last year, the former Australian Idol star was seated next to Kelly, however this season, he is on the opposite side for things to appear more dramatic on-screen
