American Horror Story season 10 and sci fi drama Y: The Last Man will be exclusive to FX on Hulu as Disney prioritizes digital platforms

Disney has announced more shows originally intended for cable network FX will now run exclusively on the Mouse House-backed streaming service Hulu.

The premieres of Cate Blanchett starrer Mrs. America and sci fi mini series Devs were part of the initial program offering when FX on Hulu launched.

Now, according to THR.com Monday, Disney says that another two scripted shows will debut on the streaming platform – the new season of Ryan Murphy’s American Horror Story and the sci fi drama Y: The Last Man.

Disney is prioritizing digital platforms.

The corporation has revealed that more than 50 percent of Hulu’s subscribers have engaged with FX on Hulu.

The streaming hub has also extended FX’s audience reach by 130 percent.

Other shows previously announced as heading to FX on Hulu are A Teacher, starring Nick Robinson and Kate Mara, and the Jeff Bridges drama The Old Man  

Hulu also on Monday revealed scripted series including the new season of The Handmaid’s Tale, Amy Schumer’s Love, Beth and Kate McKinnon’s Elizabeth Holmes limited series The Dropout will all move from their planned 2020 launches to 2021.
