Inside Michael Clarke and Pip Edwards’s private reunion

They had supposedly called it quit in April due to the publicity surrounding their relationship, but it seems Michael Clarke and Pip Edwards just couldn’t keep apart.

Their reunion, which has been described by locals ‘Bondi’s worst kept secret’, was confirmed on Sunday night when they enjoyed an intimate dinner at the Society Pizza restaurant.

An onlooker at the venue told WHO magazine that the retired cricketer, 39, and fashion designer, 40, ‘looked like a very sweet couple’.

The pair would have known that stepping out so publicly would have attracted the paparazzi, so it can assumed they wanted to send the message they were back on.

The fact they were joined by Pip’s teenage son, Justice, only proved how serious the couple’s relationship had become behind closed doors.

Their body language was a telling clue as to the closeness of their bond, as Pip snuggled into Michael’s shoulder and tightly held his arm.

While it’s unclear when the longtime friends first started dating, it would have been sometime after Michael split form his wife, Kyly, in September last year.

Their romance didn’t become public knowledge, however, until after the Clarkes had announced their separation on February 12.

Interestingly, Kyly has maintained a dignified silence by not posting on social media since the photos from Sunday night were published.

When news of the relationship surfaced, Michael and Pip both denied they were anything more than friends.

But despite their denials, it’s understood they were in fact an item.

The couple reportedly ended things in April because Michael couldn’t handle the publicity that came with dating Pip, and she later spoke of ‘being alone at 40’ in an interview with Gritty Pretty magazine.

But the latest sightings – and Pip’s less-than-subtle Instagram post on Wednesday in which she joked about wearing her ‘boyfriend’s blazer’ – seem to suggest they are very much back on.
