Laura Whitmore shared the perils of wearing a face mask with a glamorous coat of make-up on Thursday evening as she headed to a get-together with pals.

The Love Island host, 35, revealed that she had smudged her bright red lipstick while covering her face with the protective garment in an Uber.

Laura shared a playful photograph of herself pulling an unamused expression as she showed off the vibrant-coloured lipstick all over her chin.

She captioned the photo: ‘Might have to rethink the lipstick when wearing a face mask (got an Uber to a friends rooftop party so tried to make an effort with my appearance. Won’t bother next time) #redlipstickfail.’

Current Uber guidelines request that all passengers and drivers must protect themselves with face masks while using the service.

While Laura joked about her wardrobe gaffe, one fan queried why she was going to meet up with friends and claims she was only allowed to meet one other household.

They said: ‘You shouldn’t be going out to parties with other people! You are only allowed to be with 1 household!’ 

However the media personality swiftly corrected her follower on the current rulings, and stated that UK residents are allowed to meet up to six people in an outdoor space.

Laura penned: ‘6 people on a roof top/garden. Check your facts. Peace and love ❤️.’

But with clubs and bars still shut, the London streets had to suffice for her dance floor – joined by boyfriend Iain Stirling and their presenter pal Alexandra Maurer.

Clutching a beer in one hand, Laura showed off her moves in a striking yellow dress, with a black leather jacket over it and clunky black boots.

She captioned the video – along with a couple of extra snaps posing in her Saturday night ensemble – ‘All dressed up for some socially distanced dancing!’

Indeed, the presenter kept 2 metres apart from her friend, as are still the rules.
