Sold! A working cattle farm, homestead and plenty of old world charm: INXS rocker Tim Farriss has finally found a buyer willing to pay the more than $4 million price tag for his sprawling Southern Highlands house. Here: Sydney, 2015

The report said an upscale buyer from Sydney walked away with the keys to the property with a second interested buyer being a ‘consortium of Sydney buyers’  who looked to turn it into a full-scale retreat.

Despite the price of the sale not being revealed, the property had a guide of between $4.5 to $4.9 million.

Tim struggled to find a buyer for the unique property which has enough dully fenced space to house 30 bovines. The farm also features a mature orchid, a vegetable garden and a chicken coop.

Tim and his wife Beth have retained much of the charm of the circa-1920s homestead, which features paneled walls, ornate ceilings and original fireplaces.

The house, which has been featured on Better Homes and Gardens and Burke’s Backyard, juxtaposes classic and modern with updated bathrooms and a rustic kitchen.

It features four bedrooms, an open-plan living and dining area that opens onto a verandah designed to soak in the tranquility of the surrounds.

The property also boasts a fully self-contained, one bedroom caretaker’s house and two subsequent one-bedroom cottages dubbed ‘Rest’ and ‘Mojo’.

Rural retreat: Aside from tending to the cows, potential buyers also have the chance to get lost in a mature orchid, get up close and personal with some chickens in one of the property's many coops or get their hands dirty in the vegetable garden

The cottages could provide a handy revenue stream or just extra space for friends wanting to experience the serenity the location provides.

Dubbed ‘Willabrook’, the rural retreat also boasts its own private river flat that forms a natural island and is surrounded by the picturesque waters of Kangaroo River – complete with billabongs and grassy banks.

This will be the second property Tim and Beth have parted with in the area with the couple selling their 22-acre property, Bowerbrook, in 2015 for $800,000.

The Daily Telegraph reported at the time that Tim purchased the property from his brother Andrew in 1992 for $430,000.

The report stated Tim was ‘happy’ but emotional to be getting go of the home.

He lives on Sydney’s Northern Beaches and is reportedly looking to upgrade in the area.
