Network Ten confirms launch date for its new channel coming to Australian free-to-air TV – and reveals the popular programs set to hit screens

Network Ten will launch its fourth channel, 10 Shake, in September.

The multichannel will feature a range of shows for people aged under 40 and will air some of the most popular prime time programs including Catfish: The TV Show, The Late Late Show With James Corden and Lip Sync Battle.

10 Shake will also be the only free-to-air channel to play the most popular kids shows including Henry Danger and Bubble Guppies.

The new channel will have a range of kids titles scheduled before 6pm and then will play popular shows from around the world from 6pm to 6am.

It will also air the latest movies including The Hunger Games and The Lego Movie as well as shows such as Ex On The Beach, Just Tattoo Of Us and The Charlotte Show.

The broadcaster already has three free-to-air channels: 10, Peach and Bold.

Ten’s Head of Programming, Daniel Monaghan said: ‘We are thrilled to be adding 10 Shake to our family of channels.’ 

‘It’s a fantastic proposition for Australian viewers and includes a great array of content from ViacomCBS, a lot of which has never aired on free to air television before.’

’10 Shake daytime will boast over 84 hours a week of the biggest kids’ TV shows on the planet including SpongeBob SquarePants, PAW Patrol and Henry Danger. It will provide a wonderful world of entertainment just for kids.’

He added: ’10 Shake prime time will be the destination for mischievous big kids who love escapism television with plenty of bite, comedy and fun. With shows like The Charlotte Show, Catfish: The TV Show and Lip Sync Battle forming part of the schedule, it will be self-indulgent TV at its best.’

Network 10 and ViacomCBS chief sales officer Rod Prosser also said this is a great opportunity for Australians to enjoy iconic shows on free-to-air tv.

‘More than 70% of Australians have not had access to many of these iconic shows which are firmly targeted at under 50s and we’re really pumped to be bringing them to free-to-air,’ he said.
