In another short clip, the newly crowned reality show winner enjoyed a lengthy hug with his thrilled wife, Natasha.

Chris explained: ‘This is the exact moment I found out that I had won, as you can see, I was completely and utterly shook.

‘For those that don’t know we filmed 4 alternate endings – when voting lines closed on Sunday the network played the ending of whoever won so I found out the same time as everyone else.’

The singer reflected on his journey further, stating: ‘Truly I was just grateful to be on that stage with @stellerperry, @johnnymanuel and @sialaofficial because they are all incredible artists and even more than that, incredible people and I would happily have lost to either of them.

‘Sitting here going through potential next singles and album songs I am just so happy to finally be where I am right now.’

While Chris is gearing up for an exciting new career in the music industry, he has already had to face some adversity.

Many viewers slammed the singing competition as ‘unfair’ and ‘rigged’ due to the fact that Chris is the younger brother of coach Guy Sebastian.

However, Chris hit back at the claims during an interview with The Kyle and Jackie O Show on Monday.

‘I knew it was coming but I weighed up the risks. ‘I was like, “Look, this isn’t even about me anymore.” I’ve got a family to provide for. I’ve been wanting to do this my whole life.

‘At the end of the day, there are people that voted for me and I’m going to sing for them and if the others don’t want to listen, that’s all good.’

Chris took home the $100,000 cash prize and a record contract with EMI following his win on The Voice.
