Farmer Wants a Wife ‘runaway’ Madison Mackenzie reveals why she REALLY decided to quit the show before making a dramatic return

She sensationally quit Farmer Wants a Wife only to regret her decision and return to the show on Sunday’s night.

And Madison Mackenzie has revealed exactly why she absconded from the program in the first place, admitting she was felt too ‘overwhelmed’ by the experience.

Appearing on The Morning Show on Monday, the 24-year-old explained: ‘All of these different emotions hit you at once.’

‘I think you sign up to the show knowing what to expect that you have never been in that situation. You have to do what is best for you,’ she told hosts Larry Emdur and Kylie Gillies.

Madison said she believed quitting the show would help her decide what she really wanted.

However, it didn’t take long for her to realise that running away wasn’t the answer.

‘As soon as I got out of the driveway, I was… shaking my head thinking ‘what an idiot, what are you doing?” she confessed.

‘I needed the time to get out of that clear my head and go back and give it my all.’

The blonde’s return on Sunday’s episode left farmer Harry Robertson’s remaining girls furious, with Stacey and Ashleigh both storming out.

The bizarre saga began when Harry, 29, noticed Madison was missing, and the other girls told him she’d gone to the bathroom and never came back out.

He went to investigate and found a distraught Madison sitting on the end of her bed with her head in her hands.

Harry, who had previously said Madison was ‘someone that I could fall for’, was gutted when she told him she wanted to leave.
