He may be 45, but Karl Stefanovic is still in touch with the younger generation.
The Today show host revealed on Thursday that he enjoys watching Let’s Play videos – a form of entertainment associated with younger millennials and Generation Z.
Let’s Play videos, in which gamers upload or stream footage of themselves playing videogames, are usually found on platforms such as YouTube and Twitch.

Karl made the admission during a tech segment on the Today show.
A technology expert spoke about some of the more advanced smart phones on the market, which allow users to play Xbox games.
Karl said that he was interested in hearing more about them, to which his co-host Allison Langdon replied: ‘What a time waster, huh?’

Karl then said: ‘Hello! I spend a lot of time just watching people play games, just to try and get the tips and stuff.
‘So I’m into that one.’
Let’s Play videos are popular among teens and twentysomethings. The most popular Let’s Play-er is Felix Kjellberg, better known as PewDiePie.

Karl may have started playing videogames because his three older children from his marriage to Cassandra Thorburn – Jackson, 20, River, 12, and Ava, 15 – enjoy them.
He also shares a daughter named Harper May with his new wife, Jasmine Yarbrough.
At the time of her birth, Karl said in a statement to the Today show: ‘I am in awe. Harper is absolutely perfect.’
