Reese Witherspoon enjoys masked jog with pal after kicking off viral ‘2020 in photos’ challenge

Reese Witherspoon was glimpsed this Friday enjoying a sunny jog with a female pal out and about in Brentwood.

The 44-year-old slipped into a grey tank top, which she tied into a knot at the hem to hint at her enviably trim midriff.

Slipping into wine-colored leggings, she accessorized with shades and a baseball cap and made sure to keep her mask on. 

Her latest outing comes after she kicked off a viral social media photo challenge where people depict their 2020 in photos. 

Reese posted a collage in which each month was assigned a different picture of her, showing how she had declined into misery throughout the year.

Although January began on a positive note with a picture of her looking sprightly and cheerful as Elle Woods in Legally Blonde, matters soon took a turn.

As the coronavirus lockdowns hit in March the pictures became more and more distraught, until by June she was looking haggard and worn in a still from Wild.

She reused the Wild still for July, August and September, indicating she has flatlined at her emotional state from June and feels no signs of recovering anytime soon.

Celebrities galore loved the joke of her collage and made their own, including Jennifer Garner, Kerry Washington, Viola Davis, Karlie Kloss and Priyanka Chopra.

Kate Beckinsale threw herself into the challenge with gusto, making not only a collage with her own pictures but also one with photos of her cat.

Last month Reese was also busy in social media promoting Long Run, a new single partly by her 16-year-old son Deacon.

The song also features Scottish singer-songwriter Nina Nesbitt, who dated Ed Sheeran near the start of her career. 

Reese is married to talent agent Jim Toth and shares a seven-year-old son Tennessee with him, named after the state where she was brought up.

She also has two children, 20-year-old Ava and 16-year-old Deacon, by her ex-husband and Cruel Intentions co-star Ryan Phillippe.
