Zoe-Clare McDonald was branded ‘annoying’ and ‘dramatic’ by viewers during Wednesday’s premiere of The Bachelor.

‘The ridicule and bullying is alarming!’ The sister of Bachelor star Zoe-Clare McDonald has hit back at trolls who branded her ‘annoying and dramatic’ after her cocktail party meltdown

Zoe-Clare, 23, had a meltdown over being the ‘only redhead’ in the mansion, and claimed she was being unfairly targeted by Areeba Emmanuel.

Rachel, who has boycotted The Bachelor in the past because of its over-the-top editing, said she never wanted her sister to join the franchise.

‘Although my sister’s behaviour wasn’t favourable, the ridicule and bullying she has received from this is so alarming. It truly shows the magnitude of people’s willingness to look the other way for a laugh,’ she said.

Rachel added that many people have directly or indirectly bullied her sister ‘without any regard for her mental well-being’.

‘We are adults and as someone who has struggled with bullying throughout their life, I have nothing but sorrow for [bullies].

‘A bully is someone who seeks affirmation from hurting others, so they feel good about themselves. Cheers, and get f**ked.’

On Wednesday night, Rachel joked that while her sister ‘can’t handle her drink’, she does have ‘the ability to retrospectively laugh at herself’.
