MTV’s highly anticipated Video Music Awards are set to air tonight, taking the notoriously wild awards show virtual for the very first time.

The 2020 VMAs will be quite different from past years, featuring socially-distanced live performances in NYC as well as pre-recorded pieces from top stars.

Despite the obstacles, host Keke Palmer, 24, seemed to be in good spirits as she gave her 9.8M fans on Instagram a sneak peak of a sexy look she’ll be wearing tonight.

The performer teased her audience in a colorful skirt and a navy pleather bustier with the caption, ‘What if I served early 2000’s realness at this year’s @vmas? You dig? See what I wear when I host this years #VMAs TONIGHT at 8pm on @mtv’.

Keke showed off her phenomenal body in a cheeky video as she likened her possible outfits to those of queens from the early 2000s. 

She linked the video to the song Dirrty by Christina Aguilera and Redman as she put on a sizzling display.

Miss Palmer was definitely feeling herself as she struck a number of different poses, even playing with a G-string that sits high above her waist, an undergarment turned fashion accessory that was a popular statement during that time.

In stills from the video, Keke could be seen playfully grasping her bosom and dancing around as she showed off her incredible abs and toned physique. 

At one point she even gave fans a close up of her nails which were long and white with crystals adorning them, showing her commitment to the look from head to toe.

The Hustler’s actress, who first shot to fame in 2006 after starring in Akeelah And The Bee has had a long career since her breakout role, but has never hosted an award show though she has done some TV hosting before. 

In a video posted to MTV’s Youtube, Keke revealed that she found out she got the hosting gig after her mom called her on Facetime with her jaw dropped, and told her to ‘check her texts’. 

After that she said they both started laughing and celebrating as Keke said ‘wow we doin the VMA’s, let’s go baby.’

The MTV Video Music Awards premiere tonight on MTV at 5PDT/8EST. Performers are set to include Ariana Grande, Lady Gaga, Miley Cyrus, The Weeknd, Da Baby and many more.
