Farm Aid 2020 lineup revealed for the ‘virtual at-home’ concert including Willie Nelson, Dave Matthews and Brandi Carlile

While fans won’t get to enjoy the show in person, Farm Aid 2020 will happen with a ‘virtual at-home’ event, with the line-up announced on Wednesday.

Willie Nelson and The Boys will headline the festival, which will also include Neil Young, John Mellencamp, Dave Matthews, Black Pumas, Bonnie Raitt and Boz Skaggs, Brandi Carlile and Chris Stapleton.

The festival will  be streaming online at FarmAid.org on Saturday, September 26 from 8 PM ET to 11 PM ET.

‘This virtual at-home festival experience is going to be incredible and will allow more viewers than ever before to take part in our annual festival!’ read the caption from the FarmAid Instagram.

‘For Farm Aid 2020, and our 35th anniversary, we’ll showcase the diversity and strength of family farmers with stories from across the country,’ the statement added.

The ‘star-studded lineup’ will also include Edie Brickell with Charlie Sexton, Jack Johnson, Jamey Johnson and Jon Batiste.

The lineup also includes Kelsey Waldon, Lukas Nelson & Promise Of The Real, Margo Price, Nathaniel Rateliff and Particle Kid.

The final acts announced on Wednesday include The Record Company, Valerie June and The War and Treaty, with the Instagram teasing, ‘more to be announced soon.’

The FarmAid website also revealed that fans who donate $75 or more to the organization will receive the official 2020 FarmAid logo t-shirt.

‘This pandemic and so many other challenges have revealed how essential family farmers and ranchers are to the future of our planet,’ said Willie Nelson in a statement.

‘Farm Aid 2020 is going to give the whole country a chance to learn about the important work of farmers and how they’re contributing to our well-being, beyond bringing us good food,’ he added.

This year marks the 35th anniversary of Farm Aid, which was founded in 1985 by Willie Nelson, Neil Young and John Mellencamp.
