He left Bachelorette Becky Miles smitten straight of the bat.

And on Wednesday’s premiere of The Bachelorette, Shannon Karaka also left viewers at home swooning as he proudly represented his Kiwi culture by performing a Haka during his entrance.

Becky was moved by the traditional dance, saying: ‘Shannon seems like he’s really close to his family, and that’s really important to me. So that such a great start. That’s a tick in my book’.

‘That was amazing. Like, it gave me goose bumps,’ Becky told Shannon after they met. 

Shannon replied: ‘I’ve always been very proud of my culture. So, my dad’s from New Zealand. My mum’s Australian. So I’m a Maussie!’  

Elly noted: ‘I feel like I could definitely see something forming between Becky and him perhaps. She’s giving me some vibes!’

After clocking that there would be two Bachelorettes this season, Shannon joked: ‘One of my brothers might have to step in and help me out!’
