The Bachelorette’s Elly Miles addresses rumours she invited ex Joe Woodbury to appear on the show

The Bachelorette’s Elly Miles has denied rumours she invited her ex Joe Woodbury to appear on the dating show.

On Thursday, the 26-year-old told Nova’s The Babble that she was shocked when she saw Joe walking down the red carpet, because she had no idea he was one of the suitors.

‘I had no idea Joey was coming on the show. You saw my face, I was like “what!”,’ she said. 

‘I didn’t even know it was him for a good while because I couldn’t even see him and then he comes into clarity, because he’s close enough to me, and I’m so blind and I was like “Oh you’re joking!”

‘It was a really nice surprise though… but no, I did not ask him to come on the show, or I didn’t request that or anything,’ she added.

During Wednesday night’s premiere of The Bachelorette, Elly was left in shock when she discovered she had already dated contestant, Joe.

The blonde cheekily expressed that Joe had an ‘unfair advantage’ over the other men after her mouth dropped open in surprise when she saw him on the red carpet.

When the pair saw each other for the first time, Joe told her: ‘It’s a small world. You look incredible, by the way!’

Speaking to the camera, Elly noted: ‘So, I actually know Joe. Um… Yeah. We’ve had a little bit of history! He’s got a bit of an unfair advantage, old Joey!’

Elsewhere, Joe explained: ‘We’ve been on a couple of dates and it probably wasn’t the right timing, but fate’s given me another opportunity to come back and have another go, so I want to, yeah, give this a red-hot crack’.

The smitten suitor continued: ‘She ticks all the boxes, and hopefully I tick all of hers. She’s the perfect chick, 100%.’

Later during the rose ceremony, Joe dropped the bombshell to the other men that he already knew Elly, which proceeded to cause massive drama and tension. 

He explained to the men he lives with Elly’s friend Katie and she regularly came over to their house for parties and events.
