Britney Spears’ father Jamie arrives at LAX as they inch toward solution in ongoing legal battle over her conservatorship

Britney Spears’ father Jamie was spotted Thursday stepping out at Los Angeles International Airport, after flying home.

It comes as the 68-year-old inches toward a solution in the ongoing legal battle over his daughter’s conservatorship.

The pop icon, 38, previously achieved a small victory Wednesday, when the judge granted her petition request to expand her legal team.

Home sweet home: Britney Spears’ father Jamie was spotted Thursday stepping out at Los Angeles International Airport, after flying home

Just before the hearing, Jamie’s lawyer Geraldine Wyle attempted to block the request, noting in documents that her dad is attempting to come to an agreement with Bessemer Trust Company, whom Britney wants to be her sole conservator.

According to court papers, the father-of-three is not opposed to the trust company, so long as they serve as a co-conservator with him.

Wyles stated that they ‘continue to make progress in reaching a concrete and workable understanding with regard to fees and the structure of the ongoing estate administration.’

Although Jamie, Britney’s mother Lynne, 65, and her attorney Samuel Ingham were present at the virtual hearing, Britney was not.

It comes after Jamie’s legal team requested last week that the Womanizer artist be present at court proceedings as well.

But Ingham argued that her presence was not necessary: ‘I am the exclusive source of information in public pleadings as to what my client wants.’

Jamie’s other lawyer Lauriann Wright responded: ‘Perhaps it would be best for Ms. Spears to appear so we all know what she’s thinking. We are not trying to force Ms. Spears into court either.’

Ingham countered: ‘It’s clear counsel has a larger agenda here… From my perspective it is self-evident that conservativees can’t file verified declarations because they lack the legal capacity to do so.’

Her lawyers also stated that Britney does not agree with her dad’s ‘vision of a future in which she resumes performing and leaves the management of her estate completely to him as she did in the past.’

The hearing last week was set so Jamie could have his record of Britney’s finances approved, showing how the money in her conservatorship was spent.

Ingham said his team needed more time to review the documents, but he indicated that he plans to file written objections on his celeb client’s behalf, as they prepare to address the matter in court on November 10.
