Kim Kardashian celebrates her 40th in teaser for special birthday episode of KUWTK

Kim Kardashian and family announced the end of Keeping Up With The Kardashians after 20 seasons last month.

But that isn’t stopping the reality queen from celebrating her 40th birthday in the spotlight this Wednesday, October 21st.

Kim revealed the she was getting the VIP treatment from network E!, who was dedicating the entire day of programming and a special episode of KUWTK to the super-celebrity.

E! dubbed Wednesday ‘the most Kim-portant day of the year’ in a teaser packed with some of the star’s greatest moments.

‘Kim you’re older, you’re wiser and your still absolute fuego,’ Kourtney told her sister, with Scott Disick chiming in and saying ‘fuego’ with aplomb.

The Kim-centric day of programming will kick off with a marathon of the best Keeping Up episodes from the past 20 seasons, before getting to the main attraction: Kim’s b-day party.

In the teaser, the brunette bombshell is seen sauntering into a tent wearing a sparkling gold strapless dress.

Kourtney, Khloe, Kylie Jenner and Kendall went all out for their sister, seen clad in black leotards, gloves, bow-ties and top hats for the stunt.

Kim and family announced the end of an era last month, collectively revealing that after 20 seasons, they were ready to walk away from their wildly successful E! reality series.

Kim was the first to reveal the sad news via social media and the rest of the family soon shared the prepared statement.

‘It’s sad, but we’ve been doing this for 15 years,’ Khloe reflected. ‘We get two weeks off a year. It’s exhausting. We’re all in a different place in our lives and some of us need a nap,’ she quipped. ‘It’s hard because I’m not good with change, but that doesn’t mean I don’t need a break.’

‘I am so incredibly grateful to everyone who has watched and supported me and my family these past 14 incredible years,’ Kim wrote on Instagram. ‘This show made us who we are and I will be forever in debt to everyone who played a role in shaping our careers and changing our lives forever.’

Season 19 of the reality show kicked off in September and the series will conclude with a 20th and final season next year.

Kim’s 40th birthday festivities will air all Wednesday on E!, with the special episode screening at 10pm.
