Rebecca Judd is slammed for wearing a ‘Free Melbourne’ T-shirt

‘As if she’s imprisoned in her f**king mansion’: ‘Insensitive’ Rebecca Judd is slammed for wearing a ‘Free Melbourne’ T-shirt while in lockdown at her $7.3million Melbourne home

She’s been enduring Melbourne’s strict lockdown inside her $7.3million Brighton mansion with her husband Chris Judd and their four young children.

And on Monday, Rebecca Judd was labelled ‘insensitive’ after sharing a picture of herself wearing a ‘Free Melbourne’ T-shirt in a series of posts on Instagram.

The 37-year-old WAG’s sponsored social media post raised eyebrows, given Bec’s lockdown experience has been more favourable than others in Melbourne.

‘Bec Judd is genuinely so embarrassing,’ one person tweeted.

‘Imagine post like 8 insta stories of sponsored content a couple days after dropping another line of $200 leggings and then wearing a ‘Free Melbourne’ T-shirt as if she’s imprisoned in her f***ing mansion,’ they continued.

While Bec may have had good intentions for the post, others argued she could have offered local businesses financial support.

‘I have so much empathy for small business owners of Melbourne. I do not have empathy for Bec Judd,’ wrote another.

Meanwhile, a third sarcastically commented: ‘Imagine being so out of touch with other humans. Things are hard for small business, but they’ve mostly all handled this better than millionaire Bec Judd.’

The ‘Free Melbourne’ shirt can be purchased online for $40, with profits from sales being donated to Beyond Blue.

The TV presenter and her husband, retired AFL star Chris Judd, have spent the past few months in lockdown with their four children, son Oscar, nine, daughter Billie, six, and three-year-old twins Tom and Darcy, who are all being homeschooled.

Earlier this month, Rebecca said she is ‘going to be on one of the first flights to Perth’ once the borders reopen.

‘I’ll be on one of the first flights to Perth once allowed to. I understand it will take a bit longer from Victoria but we are getting there,’ she continued.
