Schapelle Corby cracks under pressure while abseiling down mountain in new trailer for SAS Australia

She has served nine years in a Balinese prison for marijuana smuggling.

But even Schapelle Corby cracks under pressure in a trailer for Tuesday night’s episode of SAS Australia.

The 43-year-old lets out a blood-curdling scream as she struggles to abseil down a mountain after revealing she is deathly afraid of heights.

‘How do I feel about putting my life in someone else’s hands? I’m very frightened,’ Corby says.

Further scenes show the terror-stricken star looking exhausted as she struggles to keep up with her castmates during a series of gruelling challenges.

A camera pans over an imposing mountain everyone is required to climb and abseil down.

‘I fear open spaces. I don’t do cold, and I don’t do heights,’ the brunette says.

Giving the challenge her best shot, Schapelle attempts to abseil down the mountain but loses her footing – prompting her to scream in horror.

Meanwhile, former Royal Marine and Chief Instructor Ant Middleton belittles the former inmate, saying: ‘If someone’s not up top scratch physically or emotionally, they are like a poison apple because it will cost someone’s life’.

He reiterates his message to a struggling Schapelle, telling her: ‘Do not be that selfish, it’s not about you!’

Ant then menacingly tells the camera: ‘I don’t care if they’re celebrities in their world. They have chosen to enter our world and they will adhere to our rules’.

Meanwhile on Monday’s premiere of SAS episode, Schapelle was candid about her time in jail during the episode. 

Perhaps a tad too candid for some fans, with several joking that her stint in a Balinese prison was mentioned so many times, it could have been a ‘drinking game’. 

Several viewers shared their thoughts on Twitter, joking about the focus on Schapelle’s past.

One person Tweeted: ‘Drinking game: have a shot every time Schapelle Corby talks about prison life’. 

Another wrote: ‘Shall we just call this program “Schapelle Corby: My Time in Prison” by SAS Australia’. 

Someone else added:  ‘Yep. She finally has the anonymity she craved by going on a TV series that repeatedly refers to her past’. 

One more Tweeted: ‘Not sure if you’ve heard, but Schapelle Corby’s been to prison before’. 

Yet another said: ‘No really guys, Schapelle’s been to prison. Did you know?’ 

Another felt she was getting too much airtime altogether, writing: ‘SAS Australia or Schapelle Corby show?’ 

However, the former jailbird also won plenty of new fans, with one person writing: ‘I’m kinda Team Schapelle at the moment. That was unexpected.’  

Schapelle served nine years in Bali’s Kerobokan Prison for marijuana smuggling. She was released in February 2014.
